He was predeceased by: his parents, Odie Moody and Wanda Hollingsworth Moody; his brother Harold Moody of Paris, TN; his wife Lena Moody; and his grandson Robert Mauldin, Jr..

He is survived by: his children, Marty Moody (Ann) of Finley, TN and Amy Mauldin (Robert) of Finley, TN; his sister Peggy Gibson of Dyersburg, TN; and his grandchildren, Justin Daniels (Tiffany), Josh Daniels, Todd Mauldin, Amanda Cooper (Chad), Abby Hilliard and Taylor Moody (Brittany). He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
