He was predeceased by: his brothers, Thomas Simmons and Bernard Simmons. He is survived by: his wife Doris; his daughters, Lee Ann Simmons of Knoxville, TN and Teresa Simmons Perkins (Dennis) of Sierra Vista; and his grandchildren, Callie Perkins, Kyle Perkins and Lauren Perkins.
Memorials may be directed to Finley Baptist Church or to St Jude's Children Hospital.
