He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Shofner and Vertie Lorena Raby (Allen); his grandsons, Phillip Brown, Anthony Taylor and Brad Raby; and his siblings, Mary Burton, A. J. Raby, Bonita Rogers, Felton Raby and Oliver Raby.
He is survived by: his children, Virginia Bracey (Donnie) of Fayetteville, Janice Brown (Joe) of Fayetteville, Connie Taylor (Billy) of Lynchburg and Ronnie Raby (Marcia Hopper) of Fayetteville; his sister Deloris Smith of Shelbyville; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Steve, Todd, Trent, Laura and Caitlin; and his close friends, Kate and Buck. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
