He was predeceased by: his parents, William Richard Mitchell, Sr. and Julia Harrison Mitchell; and his uncle J. C. Harrison. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Norwood Mitchell; his children, Bradley Mitchell and Megan Mitchell Roberson; his siblings, Wayne Mitchell (Janet), Paul Mitchell, Becky Walls (Dennis) and Anne Whitt (Pete); and his grandchildren, Addi, Carter Ann and Austin Mitchell.
