She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Harwell and Garland Merrell; her siblings, Robert, Nathaniel, Daniel Harwell and Lillie Mae Neese; her children, Vondell Leslie and Richard Leslie; and her grandson LeVar Layne.
She is survived by: her husband Rev. Willie Lee Leslie; her children, Shelvy Leslie, Willie B Leslie (Sandra) and Stefan Kent Leslie; her daughter-in-law Diane Leslie; her grandchildren, Sean Leslie (April), Gary Holloway (Karen), Nicole Bush (Gary), Necos Scott, Naje Leslie, Darius Leslie, LaQuae Leslie and Lisa Craig; her great grandchildren, Rashad, Tyler, Gary Jr., Tucker and KaLia; and her siblings-in-law, Jimmy Edwards (Joyce), Billy Leslie, Ardeth Harwell, Florine Dangerfield, Mary Kennerly, Barbara Henderson (Stanley) and Della Edwards. She is also survived by nieces nephews cousins and extended family and friends.
