He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry A. Helms and Hilda W. Helms (Harness); his great grandchild Faithlyn Helms; and his brother Douglas Helms. He is survived by: his sons, Roger K. Helms II (Andrea M.) of Warren and Denver Allen Helms of Fort Wayne; his grandchildren, Jessica Snider, Brittney Helms, Caleb Helms, Ian Helms, Jesse Summers (Ashley), Tara Summers and Alyssa Summers; and his brother Kenneth Helms. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
