He is survived by: his wife Annie Rollins Harper; and his children, Felisha Harper Eddings (Scott), Lela Harper, Lynessa Harper, Steven Blair (Wanika), Robert Harper (Gabrielle), Levon Harper and Cornell Knott. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
