He was predeceased by: his siblings, R. M. Steelman, Joel A. Steelman, Robert Steelman, Boyd Steelman and Luverle Steelman Thrasher (Grace Steelman Lackey).
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Ruth Smith Steelman; his sons, Mike Steelman (Vanessia) and Steve Steelman (Holly); his grandchildren, Ryan Steelman (Chelsea), Morgan Steelman (Tim Crawford), Annie Steelman Jones (Austin) and Emily Steelman; and his great grandchildren, Eric and Jayce Steelman.
