He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon, Sr. Gault and Edna Morrow Gault; his mothers-in-law, Pauline Walden and Josephine Wolaver; and his siblings, Ronald Wayne and Jodene.
He is survived by: his wife Venice Wolaver Gault; his children, Lee Gault (Tina), Al Gault (Carla), Randle Wolaver (Lisa) and Sheila Quick (Max); his sisters, Carolyn, Reba, Mary Alice and Faye; his grandchildren, Justin Gault (Caroline), Boone Gault, Jessica Dykes (Eric), Sevannah Mullins (Luke), Makinsie Gifford (Forrest), Alex Gault (Hope), Kristen Blackwell (Zack), Joe Wolaver (Briley), Ty Quick (Lisa) and Vada Jo Quick; his great grandchildren, Abby Kate, Jack, Annie Jane Gault, Elias, Daniel, Reagan, Jubilee, John Dykes, Sadie, Jett, Brantley Mullins, Briggs Gifford, Mattie and Jensen Blackwell; and his son Tony Campbell (Sheryl). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
His laughter and joy were heard throughout the community at any local ball game, charity event, gospel singings, Crossroads Market, and any other social gathering he could find.
