She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas William and Elsie Sappington Newcity; her daughter Valerie McWilliams; and her sister Janice Compton. She is survived by: her husband Richard McWilliams of Fayetteville; her children, Kathryn Adams (Ivan) of Toney, AL, Julie Hunstiger (Stig) of Fayetteville and Richard Andrew McWilliams of Fayetteville; her grandchildren, Lucas, Isabella and Annika; and her siblings, Linda Kirby (Floyd) of Wilmington, NC and Kenneth Newcity, Sr. of Anchorage, AK. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association or the Gospel Broadcasting Network.
