He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Nelson and Velma Lois Williams Childers; and his sister Denise Vawter. He is survived by: his wife Loretta Childers; his children, Shelley Campbell (Nicholas), Barry Childers (Jennifer) and Daniel Childers; his grandchild Isla Anne Campbell; his brothers, Kerry Childers (Gail) and Michael Childers (Theresa); and his brother-in-law Rene Vawter.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rock Family Worship Center (2626 Huntsville Hwy, Fayetteville, TN 37334). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
