He was predeceased by: his parents, James Franklin and Nellie Crosley Woods; his wife Dolores Smith Woods; his siblings, Peggy Pruett, Sarah Woods Carlisle Brewer, Della Mae Woods and Carl Woods; and his great grandchild Kobe McDonald.
He is survived by: his daughter Pamela Posey of Park City; his grandchildren, Kimberly McDonald (Chris) of Newnan, GA and J. R. Posey of Fayetteville; his great grandchildren, Morgan McDonald of Newnan, GA, Reese McDonald of Newnan, GA and Beckett Posey of Fayetteville; and his sisters, Barbara Thrasher (Chester) of Vanntown and Wanda Steger of Park City.
