She was predeceased by: her parents, John Thomas Dangerfield and Jessie Mae Hill Dangerfield; her husband Robert Ollie Jones; and her brothers, Charles, John Henry, Bobby and William "Dub".

She is survived by: her sons, Christopher Carter (Candice) and Lamont Carter (Valorie); her grandchildren, Tyler Shinn, Joseph Carter, McKane Carter, Joshua Carter, Malachi Carter, Samuel Carter, Breana Carter, Jasmine Buchanan, Deja Carter and Madison Dominguez; her great grandchildren, Anylah Ford, Graysen Starkweather, Rose'Alonso, Karina Cox and Kensley "Moochie" McMinn; her sister-in-law Bobbie Jean (Charles); and her friends, Alma High, Kevin, Nacole Hardin and Faye Young.
