He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Helton; his children, Nan Wakefield (Colin) of Fayetteville, Jim Helton (Karen) of Cookeville and Jan Davis (Kip) of Maryville; his grandchildren, Mollie Asher, Johnathan Helton of Laytonsville, Katie Wakefield of Oak Ridge, Rachel Helton of Alexandria, Lane Davis of Maryville, Bonnie Wakefield of Fayetteville, Emily Helton of Knoxville and Caroline Davis of Maryville; and his siblings, Paul Helton of Knoxville, Doris Brady of Knoxville, Hester Fay of Knoxville, Margie Carico of Maryville, Mary Hinkle of Knoxville and Jennie Hickey (Marshall) of Knoxville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
