He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ellis; his children, Dawn Marie Stewart, Victoria Marie Givens (David), Melvin David Brown, Fred Murrell Ellis (Valerie), Patrick Parker Ellis (Dana) and David Shan Ellis; his brother Joseph Samuel Ellis (Cathy); his grandchildren, Terry Robert Handson, Amanda Lynn Ellis, Justin Stewart (Olivia), Jebidiah Stewart, Taylor Ellis, Conner David Brown, Jaima Lynn Brown, Amanda Ellis, Parker Ellis, Blake Gregory (Lindsey), Cassondra Lashelle Ellis, David Ellis Givens and Megan Elise Givens; his great grandchild Aurora Jade Stewart; and his niece Courtney Ellis.
