He was predeceased by: his parents, J. W. Parks and Opal Polly Parks; his daughter Christy Parks; his siblings, Tony, Larry, Gary, Randall Parks, Peggy Chick and Janice Cothren; and his pet Jay.

He is survived by: his wife Rita Franklin Parks of Fayetteville; and his siblings, Harrel Parks (Brenda) of Hattiesburg, Yvone Shelton of Douglasville, Georgia, Rachel Taylor (Ricky) of Fayetteville and Sammie Pigg of Fayetteville, Tennessee..

“Donny Parks was a great great person to me he was one of my best friends.I worked for him for years he always was their for me no matter what .I loved him somuch.I was with him on the day we found Christy I had to do cpr on her to bring her back I carried her to the truck to get her to hospital.Donny all ways thanked me for giving him 28 more days with his daughter..i Just found out and I cried like a baby.Mrs Rita this is Justin Pettie I am so sorry IF YOU NEED ANYTHING PLEASE CALL ME love u”
