He was predeceased by: his parents, J. W. Parks and Opal Polly Parks; his daughter Christy Parks; his siblings, Tony, Larry, Gary, Randall Parks, Peggy Chick and Janice Cothren; and his pet Jay.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Franklin Parks of Fayetteville; and his siblings, Harrel Parks (Brenda) of Hattiesburg, Yvone Shelton of Douglasville, Georgia, Rachel Taylor (Ricky) of Fayetteville and Sammie Pigg of Fayetteville, Tennessee..
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Lynchburg Funeral Home (1630 Fayetteville Hwy, Lynchburg, TN 37352). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
