He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Carmi and Leona Hudson Hitzing; his brother-in-law Michael J. Dewberry; and his grandson Brooks Robinson. He is survived by: his daughters, Kelly Hitzing (William Perry), Katie Hitzing of Canton, Georgia, Ali (Justin Robinson) and Jessie Hitzing (Lorn Smith); his grandchildren, Hazel Perry-Hitzing, Chloe Robinson, Quinn Smith and Camden Robinson; his siblings, Sherry Dewberry of Jacksonville, Doug Hitzing (Judy) of Jacksonville, Jeff Hitzing (Resa) of Daytona Beach and Maggie Ward (Mike) of Daytona Beach; and his friends, Ellen Hitzing of Farragut, Gail, Richard Turpen of Jacksonville and Lysa Hitzing of Lenoir City, Tennessee.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
