She was predeceased by: her parents, Tom Hammock and Connie Hammock; her sister Patricia Hammock; and her parents-in-law, David Earl and Geneva Covington.

She is survived by: her husband Gordon C. Covington; her children, Kevin (Midge) and Angie Tate (Bradley); her grandchildren, Takoda, David, Josh and Perry Tate; and her brother Michael Hammock (Indria). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
