She was predeceased by: her parents, Morgan Steve Short and Edith Marie Yeary Short; her son Gary Wayne Sims; her great grandchild Taylor Grace; her brother Leroy Short; and her son-in-law Rick Christian.
She is survived by: her siblings, Linda Carter (Dwight) and Morgan Short Jr. (Judy); her husband Virgil Earl Sims; her children, Rhonda Diane Christian and David Earl Sims (Christel); her grandchildren, Rebecca, Dylan, Logan and Sophia; and her great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Jordyn, Ashlyn and Ryder.
