He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Hood and Sarah Hood; his brothers, Morgan and Don Hood; his uncle Bill; and his aunt Myrtle McCrary.
He is survived by: his children, Carolyn Mitchell, Allison Hood Jarrell (Robbie), Holly Hood Black (Doug) and Joshua Hood (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Courtnay, Adam Campbell, Jessica, Jordan Jarrell, Sawyer, Gibson Black, Emmett, Henry and Clementine Hood; his great grandchildren, Caleb, Kylie and Carson Bradburn; and his sisters, Helen Mitchell and Mary Gardner.
