He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Carte and Pearl Carte; and his wife Mildred Rittenberry Carte. He is survived by: his children, Randy Carte (Sue), Barbara Vaughn (Jimmy) and Teresa Earhart (Don); and his siblings, Edwin Carte and Joyce Knight. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
