He was predeceased by: his son John; his grandsons, Samuel and Beck; his sister Nancy Jane Richardson; and his brother-in-law Milton Myhan.
He is survived by: his wife Pat; his daughter Kathy; his son-in-law Scott Meert of Fairview, TN; his grandchildren, Josh Cahoon and Emma Meert; his great grandchildren, Darby and Brynleigh Cahoon; his sister Ann Myhan; his siblings-in-law, Jimmy Richardson, Al Willis and Karen Willis (Ingram); and his nieces and nephews, David, Mark Myhan of Zak Willis, J. B, Amy Christopher and Allison Blevins.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Tuscumbia Church of Christ (102 E 4th St, Tuscumbia, AL 35674). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Donations can be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, a non-profit that serves America's heroes, a cause that was close to his heart.
