He was predeceased by: his parents, Ora Edgar Berry and Maggie Barnette Berry; his wife Katie Lou Emma McNew Berry; his great grandchild Harper Wallace Feagins; and his siblings, Bessie Robinette, Rosa Lee Osborne, Faye Barker, Jean Bledsoe and Jim Berry.

He is survived by: his daughter Patricia (Danny Chapman); his great grandchildren, Andrew Collins, Deanna, Ryan, Joshua Holt, Zoey Holt and Emily Chapman; his sisters, Mabel Thurman and Vivian Justice; and his sister-in-law Maude Ann McNew.
