He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Varden and Mary Ann Varden (Deal); his son Richard Neal Varden; his brothers, Euell, Elbert, Lloyd, Leonel, Leighton and William Varden (Bill); and his daughter Latrice Eldrodean Varden.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Elizabeth Varden of Fairview; his children, Larry Varden (Debbie) of Fairview, Barbara Bachman (Mark) of Smyrna and Karen Welch (Michael) of Fairview; and his siblings-in-law, Jack Phillips (Pauline) of Fairview, TN., Charlene Varden of Fairview, Jean Hughes of Hohenwald and Ethel Putizer (Carl) of Mt. Home, Idaho.. He is also survived by Ten Grandchildren, Twelve Great Grandchildren, and several nieces.
