He was predeceased by: his father Andy Luster Mangrum; his wife Bertha; his son Eugene; and his siblings, Daniel, Elizabeth and Jimmy "Mimmie".

He is survived by: his son Tim Mangrum; his grandchildren, Alek Harris, Katlyn Brook Mangrum and Nathan Taylor Lanius; and his siblings, David Mangrum (Kay), Donnie Mangrum (Cheryl), Peggy and Larry Mangrum (Margarette). He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
