He was predeceased by: his father Cecil Lewis; and his siblings, Florence Cearley (Hugh), Tony Lewis (Freda) and Buddy Lewis (Nell). He is survived by: his sons, Dale Lewis (Rosa) and Nick Lewis (Kathleen); and his grandchildren, Keeli Kelchner (Adam), Cara Lahey (Tommy), Rachel England (Dusty), Sidney Hall (Ryan), Burk Lewis and Julia Perkins. He is also survived by his family and friends.
