He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Katherine Wilson White; his children, Andrew White (Jona) and Angela Ellis (Ralph); his grandchildren, Meredith Strauss (Brian, Abigail Ellis), Nathan White, Carter White, Samuel Ellis and Lauren White; and his great grandchildren, Shea Strauss and Patten Strauss.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Dempsey White to Shriner's Hospital for Children.
