She is survived by: her parents, Bill Whitfield and Irene Whitfield; her spouse Joe Donald Simmons; her children, Tony Joe Simmons, Perry Trent Simmons and Sandra Faye Simmons; her husband Don; and her sister Neoma. She is also survived by children, a daughter-in-law whom she loved like a second daughter, a son-in-law who has the utmost respect for her, six loving grandchildren, one great-grandson, and countless friends.
