He was predeceased by: his parents, Hank Averett and Ann Averett; and his brothers, Buddy Averett and Bobby Averett. He is survived by: his wife Mary Averett of Etowah; his sons, Todd Averett and Sid (Tammy Averett); his granddaughter Peyton McCosh; his children, Carrie Wetzel, Alan Wetzel, Billy Clemmer, Jennifer Clemmer, Bobby Clemmer and Carrie Clemmer; his grandchildren, Darby Locke, Caleb Watson, Whitney Watson, Mary Ann, Trey, Matthew, Nathan, Zachary Clemmer, Caroline, Drew and Cayla Clemmer; his siblings, Hansel Averett and Jude Lynch; and also, Patty Averett, Collin McCosh, Genia Averett and John Lynch.
