James Edwin Chrisman Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Edwin Chrisman of Etowah, Tennessee, born in Athens, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 29, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Jim" Chrisman and Nellie Faye Hicks Chrisman; his brothers, Donald Chrisman, Douglas Chrisman, Hershel Chrisman and Bobby Joe Chrisman; and his granddaughter Amber Chrisman.
He is survived by: his children, Pamela Chrisman of Etowah, TN, Vanessa Darity (Randy Darity) of Athens, GA and Tony Chrisman of Decatur, TN; his close friend Larrick Degree; and his grandchildren, Jamie Ball, April Kirk, Jeremy Monroe, Tiffany Thompson, Justin Chrisman and Riley Layman. He is also survived by his eleven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Dementia Society of America http://www.dementiasociety.org Larrick Degree, John Kirk, Billy Don Chrisman, Nathan Stiles, Carson O'Daniel, Kyle "Sid" Kruppenbacher will serve as pallbearers.
