He is survived by: his wife Jean Fling of Ethridge, TN; his son Byron Fling of LaGrange, GA; his stepchildren, Tracy Stephens (Julie) of College Grove, TN, Jon Stephens (Jena) of Cullman, AL and Karla Brown (David) of Loretto, TN; his siblings, Shirley Gladney (Wally) of Roanoke, AL, Reba Ray (Ron) of LaGrange, GA, Martha Fling of LaGrange, GA, Rhonda Pruitt of Lanett, AL and Tony Fling (Allison) of Woodbury, GA; and his stepgrandchildren, Charlie Stephens and Isabella Stephens.
In lieu of flowers, Mr. Fling requested donations be made to 31st Street Church of Christ Building Fund c/o Jerry Chandler, 11 White Haven Court, Columbus, GA 31909.
