She was predeceased by: her parents, Max Poehlmann and Klara Forstner Poehlmann; and her brothers, Hans Poehlmann, Benno Poehlmann and Kurt Poehlmann.

She is survived by: her son Mike Shaffer of Ethridge, TN. She is also survived by one niece; and three nephews.
