It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Matthew Simmons of Ethridge, Tennessee, born in Cherokee, Alabama, who passed away on February 2, 2022, at the age of 47, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted Simmons and Betty Simmons; his brothers, TedAllen, Glenn and Grayson Simmons; and his close friend Chris Carlson.
He is survived by: his sons, Matthew and Caleb "Showoff" Simmons (Hannah); his friend Daphine "Pumpkin" Simmons; his grandchildren, Justus (Baby Justus), Trooper (Troop), Ryder (Rideman), Liberty and Bentley (BB); his sisters, Mary Young (Vince) and Tina Edgar (Anthony); and his friends, Spanky and Convict. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
