He was predeceased by: his mother Rose Meiers Garner; and his children, George William Garner and Sharon Garner Andrews. He is survived by: his wife Imogene Dickson Garner; his children, Rosemary Harris (Mark) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Nancy Niedergeses (Tim) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Robert Glenn Garner (Donna) of Ethridge, TN, John David Garner of Ethridge, TN and Albert L. Garner of Ethridge, TN; his grandchildren, Mark Andrews, Brandy Andrews Jones (Randy), Elizabeth Harris Burks (Brian), Sara Harris Ghirawoo (Michael), James Robert Harris (Tina), John William Harris (Fernanda), Robert G. Garner III, Tiffany Garner Pendergraph (Matt) and Richard Garner; and his sister Nancy Langdon of Nashville, TN. He is also survived by twenty six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Neal Funeral Home (231 N Military Ave, Lawrenceburg, TN 38464). A rosary was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Lawrenceburg (212 Berger St, Lawrenceburg, TN 38464).
The family suggests memorials be made to Sacred Heart Catholic School.
