With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Paul Burgess of Estill Springs, Tennessee, born in Bennington, Vermont, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 13, 2024 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Richard Paul may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Richard Paul touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Randall and Alberta Mae Burgess (Vanorman); and his sister Rosie Lake. He is survived by: his wife Neval Burgess (Hill); his daughters, Elizabeth Cross (Jason) and Karen Burgess; his grandchildren, Madison Reed, Morgan Reed and Amelia Cross; and his siblings, Jimmy Burgess (Scarlett) and Donna Wright (David). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Moore-Cortner Funeral Home (300 1st Ave NW, Winchester, TN 37398). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
