He was predeceased by: his parents, Sydney Hawkins and Dora Hawkins (Thompson); his wife Betty Jean Bolin Hawkins; his daughter Rebecca Joan Smith; his siblings, Rachel Reeves, Jean Thompson, Ida Hawkins, Verlon Hawkins, Ronnie Hawkins, Hershal Hawkins and Norman Hawkins; and his grandson Keith Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Turner (Carol), Johnny Turner (Delisa), Donnie Turner (Tam) and Regina Bradford (Ricky); and his siblings, Martha Hallman, Barbara Vos and Kenneth Hawkins. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
