She was predeceased by: her parents, Bascom Whitson and Emmaline Whitson (Jones); and her siblings, May Steadman, Mary Ellen Kennedy, Brown and Thomas Whitson.

She is survived by: her brothers, Bill, Bob, Timothy Whitson and Benny Whitson; and her nieces and nephews, Jacquelin Hawkins and Judy Mayr.
