Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Samuel Pinkerton III (Erwin, Tennessee), born in Jefferson City, Tennessee, who passed away at the age of 71, on May 13, 2020. He was predeceased by: his father S. O. Pinkerton, Jr. (Oscar); and his sister Suzanne Pinkerton Cloninger. He is survived by: his spouse Chris; his mother Phyllis Pinkerton of Kingsport; his sister Sandra Pinkerton Thurmond (Dave) of Durham, NC; his nieces, Kelly Martin Davis of Lithia, FL, Amy Elizabeth Thurmond and Davina Cloninger Sword of Church Hill; and his nephew David Cloninger III (Trey) of Chickasaw, AL.. He is also survived by children, but no father ever loved a daughter.
In the meantime, the family requests that those wishing to honor Sam's memory donate to the Parkinson's Foundation, to local food banks, or to the charity of their choice.
