Ruth E. Swinehart Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 17, 2020, at the age of 90, Ruth E. Swinehart of Erwin, Tennessee, born in Elkhart, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Gene and Rose Adeline Sommers (Goss); her husband Clyde A. Swinehart; and her siblings, Pat Minachello and Butch Sommers.
She is survived by: her sons, Gary Swinehart (Patricia) of Erwin, Randy Swinehart (Tessa) of Hendersonville, TN and Greg Swinehart (Susie) of Erwin; her grandchildren, John Swinehart, Matthew Swinehart, Sharon Miles, Karen Key, Chad Swinehart and Tori Swinehart; and her sisters, Nancy Biegler (Steve) and Aloha.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and in accordance with Unicoi County's mask mandate, we respectfully request that anyone attending the funeral service and visitation please wear a mask or face covering and observe all social distancing guidelines at all services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ruth's name to Ninth Street Baptist Church, 310 9th Street, Erwin, TN 37650 or to Lighthouse Baptist Church, Fellowship Hall Fund, 2539 Zane Whitson Drive, Unicoi, TN 37692.
