He was predeceased by: his parents, Simon Paul and Sally Hamby (Pickering); and his wife Connie Denise Hamby (Hensley). He is survived by: his sons, Bryan Wesley Hamby and Aaron Brent Hamby; his half-brother Kenneth Pickering; his grandchildren, Leigha Grace Hamby, Korbyn Hamby, Aaroleigh Hamby, Kaidan Hamby and Devon Hamby; his mother-in-law Nancy Hensley; his siblings-in-law, Ruth Haun (Brandon) of Erwin, Rita Jobe (Mike) of Kingsport and Michael Hensley (Tammy); his nieces and nephews, April Ousley, Beth Cottrell, Adam Hensley, Sarah Bagwell and Haley Ringwald; and his close friends, Jim Holder and Johnny Day.
