Nellie Cole Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 12, 2020, at the age of 89, Nellie Cole of Erwin, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Phillips and Edythe Hensley Phillips; her husband Milton Cole; her son David Cole; her granddaughter Amanda Cole; and her siblings, Ruth Phillips, Billie Tipton, Carol Gladden, Polly Wilson, Alonzo, Jimmy Phillips and Bobby Phillips.
She is survived by: her sons, Joe Cole (Anne) of Spruce Pine, NC, Robert Cole (Janie) and John Cole (Katie) of Bakersville, NC; her sister Peggy McSwain of Hickory; her grandchildren, Mark Cole (Laura), Sarah Cole, Adam Cole (Stacie) and Shaina Burleson (Coty); and her great grandchildren, Jaiden, Caleb, Gavin, Connor and Hunter. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and her "Bailey" relatives.
Because of Covid 19, a graveside service will be held on November 14, 2020 at 2:00PM at Slagle Cemetery on John Canipe Rd., Bakersville, NC with Reverends Bill Mitchell and Kent Murphy officiating. Because of Covid 19 we ask that you bring and wear a mask at the graveside service.
