He was predeceased by: his father Herman Joe Tipton; his wife Hiroko Ohno; his son Jessie Wayne Tipton, Jr.; his sister Patsy Bennett (Ronnie Bennett); and his sister-in-law Joan Tipton.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas Tipton of San Angelo, TX, Carol Pinkston (Marty) of San Antonio, TX and John Tipton (Lisa); his grandchildren, Michael Martinez, Tony Tipton, Stephanie Pinkston, Cindy Pinkston and Sarah Tipton; and his brothers, Frank Tipton (Jeanette) of Erwin, Ron Tipton (Lois) of Erwin, Leon Tipton of Erwin and Kyle Tipton (Josie) of Erwin. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
