He was predeceased by: his mother Alice Diane Edwards (Sumerel); his grandparents, Christine "Maw" Hughes, Daniel "Paw" Whitfield Hughes, Vivian Sumerel and Fred Sumerel, Sr.; and his stepfather Grady Edwards.
He is survived by: his father James Daniel Hughes, Sr. (Gail); his significant other Sharon Hughes (Dugger); his pet Duncan Seth; his siblings, Tammy Silvers (Dusty) and Timothy Edwards (Diane); his nieces and nephews, Easton and Amber Edwards; his cousin Brad Hughes (Jennifer); and his uncles, Jerry Hughes and Donnie Sumeral.
