He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Austin and Martha Phillips Brummett; his wife Mildred "Millie" Gortney Brummett; his daughter Karen Brummett; and his siblings, Lindy Brummett, Joseph Galbraith, Robert Austin Brummett, Vearl Helton and Uteta Harris.
He is survived by: his children, John W. Brummett (Cheryl) and Billie Jo Shutters of El Cajon, CA; his grandchildren, Rebekah Brummett Hawk of Flat Rock, MI, Lisah Brummett DeSenglau, Janel Brummett Takacs, Beth Coon Long, Jimmy Brummett and Jackie Bolam Walker; his great grandchildren, Hayden, Trinity, Gavin, Kai, Collin, Avery, River, Jasmine, Riker, Lily, Connor, Nora and Hunter; and his friend Cora Beaumont. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
