She was predeceased by: her parents, Conway Garland and Nancy Howell Garland; and her husband Charles W. Smith. She is survived by: her sons, Gary Smith and Michael Smith. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
