She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Ebb Wheeler and Eddie Letterman Wheeler; her husband Roger Shepherd; and her siblings, Adam C. Wheeler, Wanda Cooper and Margaret Morrow.
She is survived by: her siblings, Henrietta Anderson of Mars Hill, NC, Lida Gill of Greenville, SC, Faith Higgins of Erwin, Sally Cole (Calvin) of Weaverville, NC, Kathy Callahan of Erwin and E. L. Wheeler (Queenie) of Erwin; and her brother-in-law Tom Morrow of Burnsville, NC. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
