She was predeceased by: her parents, Hansford Shorter and Lula Swan Shorter; her husband Jay Cadez Willis; her sisters, Phill Glover, Linda Shreck, Cassie Cowger and Mary Robertson; and her son-in-law Gerald Barnett.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Katherine "Kathy" Barnett of Cayce, Helen Imogene Tilson (Greg) of Harvest and Earl Cadez Willis of Erwin; her sister Theresa Barron of Keysville, Virginia; her grandchildren, Melanie Dougherty (Billy) of Gaston, Mary Helen Schumacher-Barnett of Cayce, William C. Willis of Erwin and Katie Slagle of Erwin; and her great grandchildren, Morgan, McKenna Dougherty of Gaston, Megan, Will Dougherty of Swansea, Jackson Schumacher-Barnett of Cayce, Rhiannon, Carson Slagle of Erwin and Sammy Slagle of Erwin. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
