Dorothy Ann Fortune Obituary

We are sad to announce that on February 9, 2025, Dorothy Ann Fortune of Erwin, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Hazen H. Toney and Ruth Emerson Toney. She is survived by: her children, J. M. "Sammy" Fortune, II (Dorothy), Kenneth T. Fortune (Kim) and Beverly Tinker; her grandchildren, Kari Owens, Kimberly Fortune (Blake), Amy Tinker Griffith (Brandon) and Erin Tinker Frazier (Dylan); and her great grandchildren, Faith Tipton, Victoria Tipton, Malak Estepp and Hudson Frazier. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel (1100 7th St, Erwin, TN 37650).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Erwin Presbyterian Church, 105 N. Elm Ave. or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
