He was predeceased by: his parents, Ezra Chandler and Nora Hensley Chandler; his son Charles W. Chandler; and his brother Edgar Mack Chandler. He is survived by: his wife Ethel Tilson Chandler; his grandchildren, Shannon Chandler of Johnson City and Rachel Bennett (Jimmy) of Jonesborough; his great grandchildren, Chandler Bennett, Isabella Bennett (Justin McCurry), Matthew Chandler and Chance Chandler; and his siblings, Gary Chandler (Betty) of Erwin and Peggy Sue Simmons (Joe) of Hendersonville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Clear Branch Baptist Church (597 Clear Branch Rd, Erwin, TN 37650). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at the Clear Branch Cemetery (597 Clear Branch Rd, Erwin, TN 37650).
