He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Lingerfelt and Viva Adams Lingerfelt; his siblings, Roger Lingerfelt, Bobby Lingerfelt, Larry Lingerfelt, Dallas Lingerfelt and Katrina Markland; and his siblings-in-law, George Lambert, Alfred Engle, Robert Markland and Carolyn Lingerfelt.
He is survived by: his son Eric J. Lingerfelt; his close friend Rowena Davis of Colorado; his sisters, Dorothy Engle and Judy Lambert; and his sister-in-law Shirley Lingerfelt. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tennessee Scenic Rivers Association.
